Visit Krakow, Poland...

Krakow – the former capital of the country – is the largest city in South Macroregion Polish. Today is the capital of voivodship. Krakow is the biggest Polish river, the Vistula River, which divides it into two unequal parts. It is situated in a valley on the border of the Cracow Upland, the Carpathian foothills and valleys of Sandomierz.
The history of the city of Krakow is very rich. Krakow City name comes from the name of tradition Krak, the legendary prince or may Slowinski leader, who founded his castle on the Wawel hill, rocky hill rising above the Vistula River. The first written mention of Krakow, is preserved in the description of an Arab merchant Ibrahim travel to 965 years. 1038 – 1058 year – the reign of Kazimierz, called restorer – Krakow becomes the capital of Polish.
1257 years – Krakow receives charter from the hands of Prince Boleslaw the Chaste.
1320 years – in the Wawel Cathedral is crowned Polish king Ladislaus the Short after the merge of his shattered country into districts. Since then – until the year 1734 – Krakow is a place of coronation of Polish kings.
